The screening, in partnership with Alfresco Film Company, will give people the chance to enjoy a night of nostalgia with a timeless movie classic in a unique setting under the stars.

Held in the beautiful grounds of Alderley Park, the event is the perfect chance to enjoy the warm outdoor weather (fingers crossed) and celebrate the start of summer in style.

E.T. the Extra Terrestrial (U)

The biggest-selling movie of the eighties, Steven Spielberg's E.T. is one of the best family films ever made. Telling the story of a vulnerable alien left behind in the woods, and his relationship with Elliot, the little boy who meets him, it features iconic moments, laughter, tears, thrills and of course John Williams’ stirring soundtrack. Just wait until you watch it among the trees with the stars twinkling overhead; it's an experience not to be missed.

Whether you’re attending with family or friends, it promises to be an entertaining evening for all as guests will enjoy the iconic sci-fi comedy projected onto a huge 20ft outdoor screen.

• Cinema Under the Stars tickets are £14 per adult and £12 for concessions/children.

• Cinema tickets plus deckchair are £18.

• Doors open from 7pm for food and drink and the film will begin at 9:30pm.

• All tickets are plus booking fee.

• Parking is available on site and free of charge for the evening.
