‘Cinema Under the Stars’ returns for an out-of-this-world screening of ET at Alderley Park

Alderley Park goes intergalactic with this year’s instalment of Cinema Under the Stars on the 16th May.

Bruntwood SciTech is once again joining forces with Alfresco Film Company to welcome families, friends, and film lovers of all ages to a special night of nostalgic adventure as ‘Cinema Under the Stars’ returns on Friday 16th May 2025. This year, guests are invited to enjoy the magic and nostalgia of childhood classic E.T. the Extra Terrestrial under the night sky, in the stunning surroundings of Alderley Park. 

Set in the 400 acres of beautiful parkland that makes up Alderley Park, Cinema Under the Stars offers a vibrant community event fit for the whole family to enjoy. Guests can kick back and enjoy a beautiful sunset, before settling down to become  immersed in the adventure of one of the most iconic children’s films of all time projected onto a huge 20ft outdoor screen.

A feast of independent local food and drink vendors will also have pop ups at the event to keep film fans fuelled throughout the evening, offering everything you need to make the most of the al fresco film night experience. Guests are also welcome to bring their own refreshments for a movie picnic experience. 

There will be an option to purchase a premium ticket including a deck chair, but attendees are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs, warmer layers are also advised for when the temperature drops.

Put on by Bruntwood SciTech, a joint venture between Bruntwood, Legal & General and Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF), Alderley Park is home to a world leading science and tech campus, alongside a wide range of amenities including a sports, gym and leisure centre, outdoor sports pitches, Churchill Tree pub and scenic woodland with walking, running and cycling routes open to the public. The 1m sq ft campus is home to over 250 life science and forward-thinking, innovative tech companies employing 4000 people.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone to watch E.T. this May!”

Doors for the event will open at 7:00PM, with the film starting at 9:30PM. Standard tickets are £14, with children tickets at £12 and premium seating at £18. Tickets are on sale now
